Oh this ETesting gets even better.

Okay, so I've bored you all with the quest for a passed ETEst on the cabby.
Currently all vehicles under the age of 20 need to ETest, once every two
years. So it's "even year" cars this year.

I have seven vehicles in my name to plate. One is too old to test, and four
will go one more time before they need to test, two 88s, two 87s. BUT!!!!
WooHoo, the province in its quest to reduce pollution, will now extend
ETesting to vehicles OLDER than 20 years!! You cannot imagine the joy I
felt in my heart when I heard that. I am absolutely furious. I mean, how
many 20+ aged vehicles do you see every day?

SO my gas guzzling pickup passed yesterday, it gets like two miles to the
gallon. My fuel efficient 16V never passes easily. And due to bad timing
this year, I'm into the cabby for about $600 so far and it still hasn't
tested, it needed cat back exhaust replacement, an axle, alternator parts,
and two fuel pumps before it could even TRY the test. If I can actually
physically get it in for the test before my birthday, it still may not
pass. The nearest test facility only tests until 4:30, and is 40 minutes
from where I work, there's nothing closer. So I use up much of my weekend
time in November delivering cars to the test. I'm just so angry. And the
new main pump I ordered for the Cabby turned out to be the wrong one.
Thanks for listening in to my daily rant. I wonder what the fine is for
expired plates, it may be cheaper than passing the test and the renewal.
