I was told the easiest way to remove the old rubber trailing arm
bushings from the brackets was to *torch* them.  Anyone know of a less
stinky method?



Nope...  That was the only way I was able to get them out.  Stinky,
but effective...  It's been a while, but IIRC there was too much
"bounce" in them to get them out by pounding on them...  The metal
rusts/fuses itself to the rubber over time, which makes removal very
difficult...
