Ok, my 2 cents worth.  That is NOT a Scirocco!  Not by ANY means!  There is
absolutely NOTHING that resembles a Rocco on that car except the VW badge! 
At least the beetle somewhat resembled the old on in looks.  And someone
brought up the mini revival, well, my family used to race those old mini's
in the stock car races that were just for the mini's in FLA.  They were a
lot smaller then the new ones but looked a lot like the new ones.  We even
had one of the ones with the steering wheel on the left side.  (Yes, we did
have 2.  One for racing and one for street driving)  And Mom, my brother and
I would always keep our eyes peeled for one we could snatch up.



But this does not even SLIGHTLY resemble the Rocco.  I agree it is a
beautiful car and I would love one.  But it is NOT a Rocco and I would not
feel the same about it as I do my baby.  I won't buy one cause a 2 seater
and a 4 year old just don't go.  I am assuming that it will have dual
airbags.  And if I can't turn off the passenger side air bags like I can my
truck, then I can't put my son in it.  And no hatch?!  NOT a Rocco!

There are mix feelings on VW bringing back the Scirocco name but I think it
would be the best thing to happen to the scirocco world since they were
introduced. I fell in love with the Concept R and had planned on buying one
when they come out but now since it looks like it will be called a Scirocco
I will have to buy one!! Who wouldn't love a 2 seater, mid engine 265hp 165
mph and priced around 25k.
