Why not give them an earful NOW rather than waiting until it's too late. 
Why don't we write to them and give them a few better ideas for the name or
something.  That would be like bringing out a compact car and giving it the
name superbird.  NOT a good idea!  



As I said, it is a BEAUTIFUL car, but it's no Rocco and I for ont would be
insulted if they named it that.

PUH-lease!  That thing is no more a Scirocco than is a '67 Camaro. It

would be completely pointless to name that car "Scirocco", and would be

a slap in the face to we enthusiasts of the real thing.  If VW were to

actually recycle the name on that thing, they're going to get an earful

from members of this list, I can assure you!
