It was great to talk roccs with you again this year.  Your car is
awesome. One thing though.  Next year you and I are going to be the
first to sit on the steps as for the second year in a row we were the
only ones to go to the front of the garage as asked.

I'd like to say how much I enjoy getting together with you all at Daun's
every year.  Usually I hear "what's a Scirocco" and/or "there's a club
for Sciroccos?!".  Even though I only come to the meets for a few hours
I'm glad to see and talk to everyone about these sweet little machines
we all enjoy (mostly) so much.  And of course to catch up with those I
know and meet the ones I don't.  I have only experienced this amount of
camaraderie in Ultimate Frisbee circles.  
 
On a separate but similar note, I was driving past Kill Kare speedway in
Xenia on Sunday and noticed loads of VWs of all descriptions (mostly
air-cooled) coming and going.  Intrigued I drove in to find a VW only
drag day/weekend in progress.  There were some sweet machines to be seen
and heard screaming down the strip and a whole lot more on display and
for sale.  There were NO Sciroccos however, only one Rabbit a few Jettas
and Golfs.  I think we should try to remedy this situation in the future
considering the number of fire breathing Roccs there are in the club.  I
bet our presence would add a little more excitement to the meet.  I'll
find out if this is an annual thing and if so get the dates for next
year so we can coordinate our efforts.
