I use the U shaped black vinyl edging stuff from TAP Plastic.  Buy it by the
foot. Relatively cheap.  Also comes in Chrome, ooooooooooohh, Chrome! (my
Homer impersonation)  Use a little heat (hair dryer) to go around the top of
the A pillar.  Leave it a little long on both ends.  Mine shrunk a little
bit after a "few" years.
