questions about hatch

I have an 87 16v rocco the hatch has a wiper on it, I know where theres
a hatch with glass in it that has no wiper, will this glass fit my hatch
or do I need to get the entire hatch?? Also there was someone selling a
plug that was meant to fill the hole in a hatch with a wiper I think it
had an actual vw part # if anyone knows what it it I would greatly
appreciate the help.
