electrical problem

Sounds more like a massive short (does that sound funny? "massive" and 
"short"?) or a intermittent "make/break". Check the positive cable and the 
ground.

The ground has 3 points grounding points so it would have to be in the upper 
section of the ground to "make/break" the connection at the neg term of the 
battery.
