CV joint or what?



The first sound you describe is what my CV sounded like when it was
going.  Had ripped boots as well.  I'm wondering if the new sound
could be form the addition of "gook" from the road.  When my bearing
went south it didn't sound too bad, but once I drove it after our last
BIG thundrestorm (Tuesday night) it sounded down right horrible.
