Yep, sounds like a 'choke not working right' situation to me. (Rememberold cars had a Choke?

Well now FI does it by measuring temp and metering a different fuel toair ratio.

"It goes away when the car warms up" is a very good clue. 'Splore thats'more.

- How does the FI system know when the car is cold?

- What does it do to keep a cold motor running?

- What happens when the motor warms up?
