OT: FS: Al's computer stuff
Oh what the heck, why would you not be able to even view a for sale thread on a
forum without logging in?!?!?! Oh well, I'll just cut/past it here:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FS: pc-dl/ncch-dl/dh800/koolance/lsi/other stuff
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ok, so i've been collecting a bunch of hardware for a while now and i'm
considering switching over to the 'dark side' (amd), so i need to sell it all
off to help fund a swap. prices are all at bottom of thread, with references,
etc.
my current rig (quite possibly all of which can be for sale, but i cannot part
it at the moment since its my current rig) (ncch-dl and dh800 are not in use and
listed near bottom):
part 1 (split explained later):
- koolance watercooled case (pc2-601)
- asus pc-dl
- 2 xeon 2.4 m0's, includes retail boxes (warranty) (they run 3.2 at unmodded
vcore, but have been at 3.0 since i determined the baseline) heatsink temp has
never exceeded 105F, and that was under max load, before i did the monthly
air-blowing of the case.
- 2x512 geil pc3200 2-6-3-3 ram (lifetime warranty)
- koolance water blocks for both cpus and northbridge
- asus v9999 6800gt-td w/ 256 mb ddr3, includes retail box + all goodies
part 2:
- coolermaster 450 watt psu (real power model - with the 3.5" bay watt meter)
- lsi sata 150-6
- wd raptor 74gb
- 4x wd2500jd (in raid-5 on the lsi) (drives are 1 year old)
- koolance gpu+ram waterblock (vid-nv2-l06)
- 2 koolance black anodized hard drive coolers, with 2nd drive kit, uninstalled
ok, part 1 above is the minimum i need to sell to support my nasty habbi, err, i
mean get my next round of hardware. i never really pushed the system hard. i did
the moosemod to get to 800fsb and was happy with that.
part 2 is the stuff that i would probably carry over to the next system, but
could include as a huge package deal if the price was right (it would have to be
good, as i'd have to re-buy some of these parts to support the next system, like
the video cooler). i still have the original shipping box + packaging for the
case, so it should be ok as far as safe shipping goes.
---
additional stuff i have up for grabs (can go at any time, as its not currently
in use):
- asus ncch-dl rev 1.02 + 2 2.8 ES noconas
bought this new about a year ago. it didnt like my m0's for some reason, then i
learned (via this forum) it was a pre-1.02 board, so i rma'd it and got a 1.02
board. i prepped it for install - it has asus heatsinks on both vrm banks, and i
applied arctic silver in place of the cheesy thermal rubber strips, as well as a
few strategic dabs of hot glue acting as a spacer to allow the heatsinks to
install completely flush on the vrm's (they tend to sit at an angle due to the
mount hole placement). i went a few weeks blowing off the install, and the box
ended up staying closed. The whole point of my swapping from pc-dl to ncch-dl
was to get my LSI card on a faster bus, but there wasnt much to gain past the
120 meg/sec i was getting. i threw arctic silver on the northbridge heatsink
before throwing it all back in the box. I later got a pair of ES noconas (also
for sale with this board, they originally came with the dh800 below). I used the
board for a few weeks (on air - using my original pair of prestonia sinks). this
ended up confirming that the gain in array performance wasnt worth the board
cost, so i swapped my pc-dl back in, intending on only selling the ncch at that
time (ugh).
this board has everything with it, basically new in box. I did not even use the
original backplate when testing it, so it remains untouched.
- iwill dh800 rev 1.2
bought on this forum a few weeks ago, repaired the backed out northbridge
heatsink "U", and bench tested to post. This was really an impulse buy. The
noconas would give me an easy way to bench the ncch-dl so i could sell it off
with everything else.
this board also is very complete. appears to have everything that came with it
except it did not come with its northbridge heatsink. I can throw an asus one on
there depending on if the pc-dl sells with the water block.
---
for both the ncch-dl and the dh800 - i have tested them to the max extent
possible (without tearing down my rig and doing a massive swap/reinstall). i can
only speak for the pc-dl being fully functional, as i'm using it right now. the
ncch is basically new, so i don't suspect any issues with it. i bought the dh800
used, but it came with the purchase receipt - it is only 3 months old, purchased
9/5/05, so even though i havent given it the usual run-down, it would be a safe
rma if it came to that for any reason.
I have invoices available in some form or fashion for all hardware purchesed.
---
...so there you have it, a buffet of xeon stuff. the pc-dl rig can go as a whole
if the price is right, but will otherwise have to wait until i throw the
replacement rig together before i commit to parting it. i have taken very good
care of all items. most items were purchased new and are in pristine condition,
with all original documentation, boxes, packaging.
prices:
part 1 - $800
part 1 + part 2 - $1600
(anything in-between will have to be your best guess - varies based on what
pieces the person wants).
ncch-dl + ES 2.8 noconas - $350
dh-800 - $200
all prices do not include shipping, but i'm open for reasonable negotiation.
my zip is 31548 for those guestimating shipping as part of your offers.
