Yeah, I have one of those.  It works to pull a vacuum OK but not good 
enough (supposedly) to really boil off water, etc.  It worked good 
enough to recharge the crappy beater Neon I have laying around, for 
that I don't care if it only lasts a year...  At least it will take 
most of the air out of the system and allow the 134a to be an efficient 
working fluid.

Does this thing actually collect the freon that's currently in the 
system?
If so, then what do you do with it?
