New to CA, looking for good mechanic/shop

Hi Paul - welcome!

I don't know of anything specifically in Oakland, but Griffin MotorWerke 
in Berkeley is quite good. Also, if you're willing to go into SF (just 
off the Bay Bridge), Auto Dynamik is a great shop - the owner taught me 
how to work on A1's almost some 15 years ago right now back when I was 
young and penny-less. Hopefully, you can come to the ND show in May and 
meet the locals.

BTW - what is it you need done?
