OT/ Auto Wax

A clay bar should remove a lot of those water marks for you. You can get a 
clay bar kit from your FLAPS for about $10-$15 or so if I remember 
correctly. I've used the Mother's kit and it's done great for me in the 
past. And it will work on any paint, not just clear coat. I use it on my 
ginster yellow GTI VR6, which is clear coat-less.
