Assembly Bill 2683 - California smog

In case any Californians need a heads-up on this piece of legislation,
you can find a number of news articles about it today.  The short take
is that any car 1976 and newer will remain subject to smog tests if
the Governor signs it.  Currently, it's a rolling 30 year criteria
before the car drops out of the program.

Sciroccos newer than 1975 would be affected.  Car buffs are in
opposition, including Jay Leno who called the bills author, while the
usual collection of smog nazis is pushing for Arnold to sign it.

Watch out.
