Measure the lobes at the highest point minus the base circle and you have
lift.

Can you be more specific about HOW to measure base circle???
I ask because I don't think it can be done.  (The ramps don't leave
180degrees of base to measure)
AFAIK, the only way to accurately measure cam lift to to put the cam between
centers or in V-blocks and rotate it, using a dial indicator on the lobe(s)
to measure lift.
Please, correct me if I'm wrong....  :)
