excellent points!! i had the V stabliser thingy come
off too, and i fixed it too. for everyone's info, i
have a MK1 speedo, perfect condition, but the odometer
does not work. if anyone wants it.
i have constant fuse problems too, i removed all of
them, and wire-brushed the contacts, and replaced all
of them with new fuses when i got the car, that helped
many things work properly, sometimes i need to jiggle
them to make something work, and the one at the very
top, which controls the fuel pump, slowly burns itself
out, but never actually athrough, so i replace that
occasionally. i bought several packages of fuses in
germany for almost nothing last year!!!
