Eurosport Stress bar on a S1

Actually the hood won't shut, or it will rub the underside of the hood. All
S1's have a VERY low hoodline clearance The 18040 bar from Eurosport is made
for all Rabbits & 82-88 8V sciroccos. Eurosport has never made a S1 bar. The
only company that had a S1 bar was Neuspeed. I still have some left of
those....Neuspeed discontinued them a few years back.

Can someone tell me why a Eurosport upper stress bar meant for an A1
chassis won't fit an S1? So far it looks like the rain tray might
interfere, but nothing a hammer to the tray won't cure. And also do you
need to un-load the struts to install the bar?
