Damn!  The grease monkey told me it was a rolling age, I should know better
than to believe him.  I wouldn't doubt that the website hasn't been updated,
it'll probably take them 6 months to do it.  "Our tax dollars at work".  :-P

Gordon, we have something in common.  On my Scirocco, I run the "Big Valve"
head (S/N 377) from Drake with a Drake re-curved dist.  I can only wish I
had a fully built engine from them.  I had them do the work when they were
still in Irvine, CA.

Sorry Dick, but the new California law says 1976 and newer will ALWAYS
be subject to testing.  Only 1975 and older cars are exempt.  I would
guess that the person who updates that website is still "on break" or
attending a seminar about improving DMV customer service.
