A recent Biography did three stories back to back; of them two were Home 
Depot and Walmart.

Sam put his 'parent company' out of biz, partly because he went to them 
to secure lower margins and increased volume type contracts and they 
basically failed to see his vision.

He found people will cross town to gain a (often perceived and often 
real) savings, or at least the illusion of savings. Loyalty is always 
bought, sometimes it's not purchased with money, but it costs one way or 
the other.

btw, if the SPAM addition in the header is due to web based email from 
somewhere like Yahoo you can teach it to not think list mail is spam.
Takes just a few mins.
