Momentary mumble.
I'm sure the work and effort you put in for people are greatly appreciated. Just look for the smiles on people's faces as their Quaife does it's thing or as their turbo whines up to full boost. For me, I relish the opportunity of having some knowing hands dive into my car. I learn best by seeing things done and being able to have someone show me how to do something on my car is a really enjoyable event that I get to partake in like 1x a year. Teach a man to fish....
Someday I hope to be able to do half the things to my car that you are able to do to yours and others' roccs. First though, I need a garage and a Home Depot that is closer than 100 miles. It sucks when you get inspired to do some project only to realize you have to order the parts online, wait a week for them to show up and then go find some inspiration and spare time to do what you were all set to do a week ago.

Obviously not.
Either it was somebody in a difficult situation where a little help could go a long way or it was
somebody that had some performance plans that would not be realized without my help (typically due
to financial issues) and I had a technical interest in participating in the performance upgrade. (or
just convinced myself that it was a really easy job that could be done so quickly it didn't matter!)
In most cases the owner participated, either a lot or a little.
Doesn't mean it hasn't been a lot of work.
Just means that in general, I'm a sucker. Somebody needs it and I pretty much have the means to do
it.
In the end when everybody drives their car away, I'm not sure that all the work has benefited me
very much.
