This is going from memory, so I would double-check it...
I am assuming this is the 3-pt rear bar...
Attach one bar/mount to the other with the center adjuster in place, remove the upper rubber mount, slide assembly onto the rear struts, adjusting the center adjuster so that the suspension will in effect have no pre-load. Secure bar in place atop the struts. Once that is fastened as it should be, you can now mark the floor where the two holes in question should be drilled. Double check underneath to see if there is any interference with anything (factory spec, there will be none). Drill holes after removing the bar. Install plate from underneath, and secure with provided hardware. Next, install the plate at the right rear bumper mount by removing the two bolts holding it in place. (These holes may or may not be slotted for adjustment, I can not remember). Once this is installed, the last bar should fit perfectly if everything else is installed correctly...
Hope that helps a bit. There is some trimming of the carpet depending on how clean a fitment you would like...
Cheers,
David
PS-- You will feel a big difference after the install. Even my girlfriend at the time felt the difference, in a blind test, (Does the car seem different to you at all?) and she drove a 85 New Yorker Turbo! ACK!
