ventilation fix

hi everyone, thanks for the advice and inputs, i think
i discovered the major problem, or at the least, the
most obvious one: when i removed the stereo, i saw
that the back part of the lever was not attacked to
the roundish thingy that controls the vacuum.  its
knob had been pushed too far back, so i just had to
pull it forward.  when i installed the stereo again,
the control knob moved, so i surmised that at some
time in the past, the stereo pushed the knobby part of
it out of the lever.  it may work now, i don't know,
the engine won't start, the battery is now dead.
