Tranny Flange leak- need opinions

I removed the inner CV joint today and got covered with tranny fluid.

Easy fix as I found out,  as the inner flange seal just popped out and can
be easily replaced

The problem this caused (I think) is the CV feels like toast now.

I reckon the CV joint was invaded by tranny fluid, and caused it to wear
prematurely.

Anyone else experience this problem before?
