G-Grind - How about a K-grind?



.369 and 212 degrees duration for a stock 1.8 cam.
If you want to replicate a diesel torque curve the "K" is the cam to do it.
The stock 1.8 cam is one of the weakest out there and just putting in a 1.6 cam is a bump in HP.
Also, I'd guess that if you had a 4K gearbox attached to your JH then your highway mileage would
suffer since you'd be cruising at it's power peak instead of its torque peak (or at least close to
it)
Just as an aside an engines efficiency is generally best at its torque peak so cruising at that RPM
or close to it will get you the best mileage. Theres lots of caveats to this but generally true.
