Skoda Octavia

Just got back from a week in England, and the rental car I happened to get was a Skoda Octavia. 
The rental guy told me it was a rebadged Passat (I think rebadged Jetta??).  Traveled the few
hours from Gatwick to Burton-on-Trent, and thought "hey, this thing really scoots."  Got 30+mpg on
the motorway (imperial gallons?).  Roadmanners were excellent.  

I get to the inlaws and (as I would do) pop the hood - 1.8L 20V Turbo.

So...I do believe that a turbo project is somewhere in my (distant) future...this thing just had
too much power for a 1.8L...verrry nice....

Them lucky dogs in Europe get some of the really cool VAG cars, including some of the SEATs as well.
