For me, I don't really care where or how one posts a reply.  Just edit out the unneccesary parts and put in your response.  Just make sure it's distinguishable from the original post, no matter where it is put.
 
Me?  I'm still going to post at the top as this is how Yahoo mail is set up and anything I write at the bottom is included BY YAHOO as part of the original ( ala the big blue line that denotes the original email).  Don't blame me, blame Yahoo.
