Help - Installing a cast aluminum lower airbox

The one problem I have is what to do with the hose comming off the pressure regulator into the air box. On the opposite side is a very small hole inside the air box. It seems that 8V's don't use it but the 16V's do and Volvo's don't seem to have it either. I can't image it is vaccum as the whole lower part of my air box doesn't exist anymore. It has been removed and only enough remains to hold the filter in place.

You could drill a hole in the aluminum, and double nut a hollow threaded
pipe / bolt int the hole. (What I mean by double nutted is a bolt
through a wall, w/ a nut on each side of the wall to hold it from
sliding out. This is not the conventional definition which uses two nuts
on top of each other to prevent the 1st from backing off or loosening.)
Inside exposed to slight vacuum, outside hooks to existing hose.
From the picture(s) I see the inside of the hole is very small, you
might want to use an acorn nut with a small pin hole drilled in it on
the inside.
