Transmission from mk3?

Negative.

Katy's cabby has the 020 rod shift from the 97 Golf 2.0 that donated its
engine.  Some swapping of studs and bolts around the diff were needed, but
everything bolted up fine from the old 020 onto the Mk3 020.
