Recall Details
THE FUEL TANK COULD DEVELOP A HAIRLINE CRACK ADJACENT TO A SMALL SECTION OF
SEAM WELD AT THE REAR OF THE TANK. SHOULD THIS HAPPEN, FUEL COULD SEEP OUT
WHICH COULD RESULT IN FIRE IN THE EVENT OF A REAR END COLLISION. CORRECTION:
VEHICLES WILL BE INSPECTED AND FUEL TANKS WILL BE REPLACED IF NECESSARY.

It is covered, and it is a legal obligation for VW in Canada.
