dual-fan shroud question

Ok, I just bought the Passat dual-fan shroud....it looks GREAT!!

Too bad it doesn't fit.... :(


I'd like to put it in my 16v.
PLEASE NOTE: I have, and fully intend on keeping my AC. Thus, the reason for
this fan.

Any pointers on installation? I was told direct-bolt-on. But this is not the
case. I'm hoping one of y'all has some experience with this one.
