As for long term it turns out the Subaru is the only one on the list you 
provide that I have spent much time in.

You don't get leather, and you would have to have an aftermarket 
sun/moon roof (although they do come factory in other countries). Go 
figgure.

I do also like the Jetta (Golf) Variant, er Wagon. Haven't yet had a 
chance to get one out in the twisties yet though.

What else is out there that will get you what you want?
