Same Scirocco I looked at and posted a message about last fall.
 
The 1.6L sounds great. The interior needs restoration. The exterior is a crappy, rough, black primer. The stereo and EQ is straight outta the '80s discount afternarket. The exhaust and brakes have been repaired/replaced. It's not quite ready for prime-time; not even a daily driver. When I first drove down from Charlotte he was asking $1,000 but would take $800. It worth $500 - tops.
