Hey ya'll!! wuz wunderin if anybody know's how to get just the lock out of
the stock Scirocco door handles and replace them with new ones?
First you remove the strip on the outside of the handle exposing the phillips
screw, then using a magnetic screwdriver loosen the screw, open the door and
inside the jam is another screw, remove it, slide the handle slightly towards
the front of the car and remove it. With the handle in your hand, put the key
into the lock and leave it there, then remove the screw on the back of the
lock, pay attention to how the spring and lever are located and then remove them.
( do one lock at a time so you have a reference) push the lock out of the
handle. You leave the key in so all the tumblers will stay in the lock assembly.
Install is the reverse of removal. Hope that helps, Michael
