Motronic Conversion - wiring question

Brian,
You have sparked my interest. However, before I get into some
detailed questions I have some big picture questions on price, reliability
and difficulty. First, price, what is an average (or range) install
expense on a normally aspirated, CIS-E conversion? Second, how reliable
are these systems; lets say an 8V CIS is a 10 and a Motronic 16V conversion
is a 1 (since this is what started the discussion). Since you mentioned
that it has less support than MS, how does that translate to reliability.
Now some specific questions. What fuel rail and injectors work on a
normally aspirated, non nitrous 2.0l, 16V. I saw mention of Digi injectors
however; it did not mention which generation. Finally, what is the lineage
of VEM, is it a Megasquirt splinter group?

Thanks, Rick.

Brian,
I appreciate your posting this, but this is way beyond me, and the time
that I have... MS will prolly be the ticket, when they get the WB02 as
well as the ability to control Nitrous, or an electronic wastegate control.
I could do this given enough time. I understand how FI works, and I can
understand how computers work, although it is not as much second nature to
me as cars in general... :-) I will say this, I like the look of the FI
box more than the MS, as it seems more solid. Hopefully MS will take that
as a clue to improve that as well...

Thanks again,
  David Utley
