If you feel they are not dealing in good faith, check your state's statutes 
for a bad faith refusal to settle section. It may provide for an enhanced 
award (perhaps twice the amount they refused to pay) and attorney's fees if 
you have to go to court and have the case decided.
You state statutes are probably on the Web.
