hydro assistance needed

ok, i must call upon the near-infinite networking of the list.

for various parts of the twin i need hydraulic control valves. while 
brainstorming i came up with a design of what i needed, and even drew it 
out, but have no way to describe it in the jargon that the hydro valve 
industry is sure to use. i need someone fluent in this stuff that i can 
briefly work with to be able to order/get/build what i need.

second, i will need various hydraulic slave cylinders/pistons. some for 
light duty (tranny shiftig / clutch), and some for heavier duty, with 
perpendicular loading on the piston (ideal would be a drop-in replacement 
for the standard vw strut cartridge, but my emails to koni about such 
possibilities appear to be falling on deaf ears). has anyone ever heard 
of/seen any kind of a1/a2 vw strut cartridge that was actually rebuildable? 
its likely that i can modify existing cartridges to do what i need, provided 
that they can be reassembled in tact.
