sorry for posting this to the list but customer support is being less
than helpful and i know that many of you are smarter than your average
customer support personnel. besides, this will effect the list when and
if i can get bittorrent running as there are a few things some people
may be interested in. :)
i re-installed windows 98se. since then i've lost my ability to run
bittorrent. running through my router, i also lose my ability to connect
to a ftp, but an incoming connection is fine. prior to re-installation,
i was able to do everything without a problem, both on and off the
router. i don't believe these problems are router related (despite the
fact i can't ftp with it). i have a cable connection and am using an smc
nic. is it possible that my windows network drivers are corrupt? any
ideas on fixes? i would just like to know before i re-install windows
again (which i will do if it will solve the problem).
please post replies off-list. thanx.
