That does suck.  Sounds like it was a pro job.  The pessimist 
in me thinks that someone saw your ad for it and figured they 
could chop-shop it for lots and lots of nice parts. There isn't 
a big market for 15-20 year old cars.  Heck, there isn't that 
big a market for old car *parts*.
