I began trying to diagnose my cold start problem on the 2L16v cabby.
Back when I had the engine out before the swap, I had taken out the coolant temp sensor, thermo-time switch and the other two switches out of the head when I cleaned it. I'm not sure I reinstalled them in the proper orientation. The reason I say this is that the Bentley shows the coolant temp switch and the thermotime switch in the lower left and right "holes" respectively. I currently have them thermotime switch and the coolant temp switch in the right holes - top and bottom, respectively. The other two switches I think are for oil pressure? One's a male spade (red/yellow wire) and the other is a circular male spade (black wire).
I also did some wire repair when I had the CIS-E harness out, looks like I'm going to have dig through that too... :-/
Could someone please check their 16v for me and relay the configuration of these switches? Also, would mis-configuration of these contribute to the problem?
Thanks! Jeff
