Tricks for valve retainer keepers?

I use the "KD 380" C-Clamp spring compressor, as seen on this page. This,
plus a little plastic insert, with oval oppenings, so it is possible to get
to the retainer keepers. All this for 50$ canadian, brand new. Works great.

Cheers.
