Sunroof repair info needed
I just did this repair on my 16v. There is a spring that is attached the
part of the liner that pulls up when using the sunroof as a popup. Bentley
says you have to pop up the sunroof in order to access the spring. I could
not pop up using the crank so I had to pry the sunroof up high enough to get
a coat hanger with a hook to release the spring. then you have to use a
little force to get the rest of the liner to free.

Okay let me rephrase this.
Yank on the inner panel and push it out of the way then unscrew the steel
sunroof off.
