I know that feeling.  Good luck and, if you need any advice, I've got
a few been there-done thats for this model.  If I were doing it, I'd
keep it stock in appearance (including a stock 1975 color) and do
whatever you want under the hood.  The 75  block is doorstop material,
but keep the head.  Don't get me started...
