breather help

Newbie Alert!

I've heard talk of this breather under the valve cover before, and that
a gummed up one can really impede performance. I only have a Haynes
manual, (Here in the UK Bentley's are very hard to get hold of), and it
makes no mention of it.

This is definitely something I want to sort out - can anyone talk me
through it please?
