Possible to flare hard brake line?

Yes, you can do this but you will need a bubble flare kit. The regular
flare kits you get at Harbor freight won't work unless they say "bubble
flare" on the case. I got mine from Matco for about $70. HTH!

Subject: Possible to flare hard brake line?

I'm thinking about cutting the hard line right below the nut (can't get it
off). Would it be possible just to put a new nut on the cut line, then
flare the end and just bend the line an extra 1/2" to make up for the
cut-off length?
I haven't been able to remove any of these to see how it is even flared.
Any help appreciated!
Thanks.
