OT: Symptoms of headgasket failure?

No, it's just a sure sign of a cooling system leak.
If your head gasket were blown, you would certainly know it.

  My car has really dark coolant, I seen a few drips of coolant on the back of 
  the block when i pulled the downpipe, and i noticed some coolant at the oil 
  pan gasket?  Is this a sure sign that my head gasket is blown?
