aligning the exhaust

OR....
Mark the pipe where it sits on the beam... Pull pipe out... Pull rear axle out...
Take acetylene torch/plasma cutter/grinder/file and notch the beam.
That way you don't affect exhaust flow.
That's what I'd do...
(not really, but that's what I recommend YOU do...)
