I just finished up taking that preheater off....I also noticed that my
original intake hose was full of cracks and holes....so I jimmied up some 3"
articulated dryer hose and used 4ft of it in a 12" space from the inlet
box...I figured it would be more stable and rigid that way, I also wrapped
it in aluminum foil adhesive tape to finish it off....I hope it will be
ok....WHen I changed the air filter it was quite dirty and had what looked
to be oil or something that had been repeatedly dripping on it directly
under the plunger on the airbox...I dunno...Also, the small vacuum hose that
opened the preheater vent had to come off...so I plugged off the opening at
the throttle intake part of the breather hose (correct?)...
