1975 factory Auto ??

well I was aware about the issue of the transaxle gaskets being bad, that is
a typical A1 tranny isue that plague them all, I was thinking of sending the
tranny to Ron Pieper (GRIN) and let him rebuild it for me !

Are they not one and the same?
(transaxle=automatic transmission?)

Dunno but the main trouble I hear about early VW Autos is the gaskets
leak allowing the transaxle lube and ATF to mix.
