Okay got a question
Course you could still have water in the oil. Water is heavier than oil, so if it's not disturbed
and turned into that godaweful brown foam, it will just sink to the bottom of the pan. Only way to
know for sure is to drain some of the oil and see if water comes out with it.
Either way the likely culprits, as pointed out, are headgasket and oil cooler.
